Press-fit self-clinching nut for sheet metal. Available in zinc-plated steel (type C) and A2 stainless steel (type CS). Ideal for creating strong threads in thin sheet without prior tapping.

What is a self-clinching nut?

A self-clinching nut is a mechanical fastener cold-installed by pressing it into a pre-drilled hole. Its external serrations provide firm, durable anchoring in sheet metal and a strong internal thread with high tensile and torque resistance.

This type of nut is widely used in the automotive, electronics, metal furniture and machinery industries wherever a quick, reliable, high-quality fastening is required.

Technical features

  • Cold installation by press-fitting into a pre-drilled hole.
  • External serrations ensure robust anchoring.
  • Rolled internal thread providing high tensile strength.
  • Applications: chassis, bodywork, electronic equipment, metal furniture and household appliances.
  • Available materials: zinc-plated steel (type C) and A2 stainless steel (type CS).
  • Finish: corrosion-protected zinc-plated steel · A2 stainless steel for outdoor and damp environments.

Advantages of using self-clinching nuts

  • Quick and simple installation without tapping the sheet beforehand.
  • Provide a strong, durable metal thread in thin sheet.
  • High torque-out resistance thanks to the serrated design.
  • Available in two materials for different environments: indoor (zinc-plated) and outdoor or damp (stainless steel).
