Product description – FD threaded stud
The BEARFIX® FD full-threaded stud is designed for drawn arc stud welding with ceramic ferrule and provides the maximum usable threaded length available in a weld stud.
The FD type is threaded down to the welding tip, so after welding the stud remains threaded almost to the weld bead itself. The weld bead diameter is approximately 3–4 mm larger than the external thread diameter, providing a strong and reliable joint.
The supplied ceramic ferrule protects the weld pool during welding, concentrating heat and reducing oxidation.
