What are ceramic ferrules?
BEARFIX® ceramic ferrules are consumable elements used in drawn arc stud welding. They surround the welding zone and help concentrate heat, retain molten metal and protect the weld pool from the atmosphere.
Correct ferrule selection is important because the internal geometry is matched to the stud type, welding position and application. After welding, most ferrules are removed by lightly breaking them away.
Available ceramic ferrule types
