Product description – ISMS
The BEARFIX® ISMS insulation pin is designed to fasten insulation materials such as mineral wool, rock wool and rigid foams to metal structures by drawn arc stud welding.
The chisel point on both ends facilitates penetration of the insulation from either direction and provides maximum flexibility during installation.
Unlike conventional weld studs, insulation pins do not use an aluminium ball. They are normally welded without a ceramic ferrule, although UF or K ferrules can be used for special applications.
Once welded, the insulation is pushed over the pin and retained with Type R or Type W clips.
