Product description – UD unthreaded stud
The BEARFIX® UD unthreaded stud is designed for drawn arc stud welding with ceramic ferrule. It is a robust plain fixing element for anchoring, positioning, support or subsequent machining.
The UD type has a constant diameter and smooth surface without thread. It can be drilled, threaded or machined after welding, or used directly as a stop, support or guide element.
The aluminium ball at the welding tip helps provide stable ignition, while the supplied ceramic ferrule protects the weld pool and concentrates the heat.
