What is a self-clinching stud?
A self-clinching stud is a mechanical fastener cold-installed by pressing it into a pre-drilled hole. Its external serrations ensure firm, durable anchoring in sheet metal and provide an external thread with high tensile and torque resistance.
Unlike a self-clinching nut which provides an internal thread, a self-clinching stud provides an external thread onto which a component can be fastened directly, creating a permanent, robust joint. It is widely used in furniture, automotive, electronics and machinery manufacturing.
