Product description – PD threaded stud
The BEARFIX® PD partially threaded stud is designed for drawn arc stud welding with ceramic ferrule. Its geometry combines a usable threaded section with an unthreaded welding section.
The unthreaded section at the welding tip corresponds approximately to the thread pitch diameter, producing a weld bead approximately 3–4 mm larger than the external thread diameter. The plain length “y” varies with the total stud length.
The supplied ceramic ferrule protects the weld pool and helps obtain a clean, uniform joint.
